Inhibitor Duct Tape: used to form an electrolytic barrier between any points where bare steel and aluminum might come into contact (especially between the outer perimeter of the frame and the integral 1” wall posts).
Insulation:
- Styrofoam: a common insulating material available in a variety of thicknesses, including 1”, 1-1/2”, and 2”. The Deckamate Styrofoam used in most freight vans and mobile workstations has an insulation rating of R5/inch.
- Urethane Foam: another common insulating material used in place of Styrofoam; spray-on application and an insulation factor rating of R7/inch offers added versatility with only a modest increase in price
- Acoustic Foam (1/2” or 1”): generally used for generator enclosures, communications shelters and broadcast trucks.
