U-Bolts: standard square bent U-shaped fastener used to attach Trivan van bodies to the vehicle chassis. U-bolts fit over the longsills of the van body and around the frame rails of the chassis and are secured with a steel plate bolted to the ends. U-bolts are not used for cutoff vans, as these bodies are fastened directly to the factory-supplied body mounting pads.

Undercoating: all units with a wooden floor or sub-floor are undercoated with a durable spraygrade asphalt cutback underbody coating to provide protection from moisture and to prevent the wood from rotting.
